The Oracle was carved onto a mirror from the front, and the details spread organically from corner to corner. The artist used thick lacquer type paints that were applied with her fingers. This dragonfly personage has stunning wings that spring from her face. Upon completion, some interesting and surprising occurrences happened to the artist which inspired the name, “Oracle;” A person considered to provide wise and insightful counsel or prophetic prediction of the future. A form of divination. She “sees, hears and knows all.”
